Personal Life

Kell has been married twice. His first marriage to Melissa Sue Shepherd (Phillips) began in 2003 and ended in separation in 2011, and he has been married to his second wife, Jessica Marie Palmer (Alliston) since 2016. He has two stepsons and two biological children from his first marriage, as well as two stepdaughters from his second marriage. Kell also provides care for his elderly mother, who lives in his home. His wife is a United States Navy veteran.

He resides in Utah, having previously lived in Hawaii, Kentucky, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and Indiana. Outside of his professional work, Kell maintains a large home laboratory, enjoys films and serialized television, and has expressed an interest in one day retiring aboard a sailboat to travel the world.
