The challenge
Sharing an encrypted file should not require handing the original file or its passphrase to another hosted service.
The approach
Built a local-first workflow using WebCrypto in the browser and a shared-core Node.js CLI. The repository documents authenticated file formats, private filenames, batch workflows, and verification.
The work today
The project makes its security boundaries inspectable through source code, a threat model, format documentation, and validation tooling. The current source is a release candidate; release gates and independent review remain explicit in the repository.
